Swimming

Students have three opportunities to swim this year with school and so far they have had a lot of fun! From basketball games to diving board competitions, they sure are lucky.

Town Council

Thanks to the students who attended the Town Council meeting last week! They were introduced to the council, learned about some of their projects for 2016, talked about finances and budget and heard about some of the problems our council has to deal with!

Weathering and Erosion

Grade 4 students have reached their final lesson in Science. Today we used sugar cubes to demonstrate the process of erosion. We shook them in a jar to represent rocks bouncing through a river, banging against other sand and particles.  Kids has a blast!

Rock or Mineral?

Grade 4 kids learned that rocks and minerals are different! Rocks are made of 2+ substances, where minerals are the same substance throughout. After comparing this idea to food, we broke apart some rocks and minerals!  Can you tell which is which?

Cloud Types

Today grade 5 students learned about the different cloud types! They had to find the main ideas from their textbook reading and then create a cloud using cotton balls!
